Tartar Sauce
Yield: 2 1/2 qts.
Tartar sauce consists of a mayonnaise base with
minced dill pickles and onions. This sauce can be
served with meat or seafood, but it is most often
associated with seafood.
Quantity Ingredient

2 qts.

1/4 cup
1 cup
1/4 cup

Mayonnaise / Salad dressing
Dill pickles, chopped
Parsley, chopped
Onions, chopped
Lemon juice

Preparation & Procedure
  1. Prepare the mayonnaise
  2. Chop the parsley with a French knife and wash.
  3. Grind or chop the dill pickles - very fine, and drain.
  4. Grind or chop the onions - very fine, and drain.
  5. Have all equipment and ingredients at hand.

  6. Place all the ingredients in a stainless steel container and blend thoroughly using a kitchen spoon.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve 2 to 2 1/2 ounces per portion in a soufflé cup with fried seafood or, in some cases, with meat such as hamburger.
