What is meant by grade point average (GPA)?

• Your grade point average is a weighted average based on the grades you receive, the honor points those grades carry, and the number of credit hours you take. It identifies your academic standing.
• The GPA corresponds to letter grades in the following manner:

  4.0 GPA = A
  3.0 GPA = B
  2.0 GPA = C
  1.0 GPA = D
  0.0 GPA = E
