The Job Placement Office's goal is to assist you
in finding qualified employees for your organization. Our services are available to any
organization providing legitimate employment opportunities that might be of interest to
our students or graduates. Services for employers
include:
Job Postings: Post your full-time, part-time, temporary or seasonal
opportunities FREE on our web site provided your job opening meets our guidelines for
posting a position with our office..
Resumes: Our Placement Officers will review your posting; and if your
opening meets our guidelines, we may send (email, fax or mail) resumes to you of
applicants who meet the minimum qualifications of your job opening.
Job Fairs: The Job Placement Office sponsors Career and Job Fairs for
Criminal Justice, Nursing and Health Careers programs. Please contact our office for
further details.
Campus Visits - The Job Placement Office also can arrange for space in
selected locations where your representative may provide interested students with
information on employment opportunities with your organization. In addition, we work with
faculty to arrange for classroom visits and presentations.
HFCC's Job Placement Office adheres to the Principles of Professional Conduct of NACE
(National Association of Colleges & Employers), and works only with employers who also

Third-Party Recruiters - HFCC's Job Placement Office will work with
third-party recruiters who meet specific guidelines. These guidelines include: HFCC's

Job Placement Office Policies and Guidelines for Employers
The following policies and guidelines apply to all employers offering employment
opportunities for HFCC students or graduates.
The Job Placement Office will post a
position or host for on-campus
recruiting if:
- The employer provides the necessary information needed to post a job vacancy
(organization name, products or services provided, compensation information, job
description, etc.). Full disclosure to the Job Placement Office and applicants is
required. Third Party Recruiters must be representing specific employers who have
contracted with them and will disclose to the Job Placement Office the names of the
represented employers.
- Part-time positions are within commuting distance from Dearborn.
- The employer provides information on students hired through the Job Placement Office
postings, including names, rates of pay, hours per week, and employment beginning dates.
- The position complies with all applicable federal and state employment laws, affirmative
action and equal employment opportunity regulations.
- The employer abides by the Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services &
Employment Professionals as published by the National Association of Colleges and
Employers.
The Job Placement Office will not post
a position nor host for on-campus recruiting if:
- The employment opportunity involves on-campus solicitation, sale, or posting of
materials, products or services.
- The applicant must pay a non-refundable fee to participate in a work experience or pay
any type of fee for training.
- The applicant is required to purchase or rent any type of sales kit or presentation
supplies.
- The work assignment interferes with or negatively affects the academic progress of the
student, or requires or encourages a student to discontinue his or her academic program of
study.
- Third party recruiters/organizations fail to fully disclose their intent or to identify
the name of the organization, the contact person (including telephone number) for whom
they are recruiting
