The Job Placement Office is here to help you help your students. Partnerships between faculty and staff and the Job Placement Office can combine our strengths and resources for the benefit of our students.

Faculty and staff are often called upon to help students make decisions regarding their choice of majors or careers. These decisions are particularly difficult given the rapidly changing world of work, affected by both technology and an evolving global economy. Keeping up with the vast quantity of information that affects the world of work and how it will ultimately impact your students is difficult. The Job Placement Office can help.

For example, you may be interested in having a Placement Officer present to your class on career and employment related topics. The topics might include:

        Using the HFCC Job Placement Office
        Preparing for the job search process
        How to research potential employers
        Developing cover letters and resumes that get interviews
        Completing employment applications
        Dress to get hired
        Handling the job interview
        Changing jobs or careers

The Job Placement Office is responsible for assisting HFCC students in making career plans, finding jobs to help cover the costs of attending HFCC, and in finding entry-level positions upon graduation. This assistance is provided through individual advising, classroom presentations, events that bring together employers and students and the resources of our office.
