Through year-round instruction, the English Language Institute (ELI) curriculum helps to expedite the learning and language development of foreign students by offering them five six-hour days of intensive language study five days a week or a three-hour evening session, four days a week. The program has helped 82% of second language speakers of English achieve their goals effectively as well as efficiently increase their English language proficiency for academic and professional purposes. All classes are limited to fifteen students.  The ELI has year-round programs with open enrollment and a tuition that is noticeably lower than that of similar programs in the Detroit area.   ELI teachers are highly qualified, enthusiastic, and supportive of student needs and time restraints.  We offer students state-of-the-art computer-assisted instruction and multiple opportunities to further their education and explore employment opportunities that coincide with their educational goals.

*All students in the Language Institute will qualify for a Certificate of Attendance awarded for completion of all required hours of study and a Certificate of Achievement to verify academic achievement at each level of study completed.
